Why are memberships so inexpensive compared to other research firms?

Before the launch of Peeriosity, professional research alternatives included consulting firms, where your company asks a consulting firm for advice or for help with a project, or research firms that create a research agenda for a large group of member companies to follow, and then conduct member interviews to support research papers and detailed professional presentations that highlight differences between member companies. Both options are expensive, and typically don't cover issues in enough detail to clearly point to a path forward. Good ideas may be suggested, but without the details for which companies followed the suggested "best practices", it's anybody's guess as to how to best implement or what the actual costs and benefits are.

At Peeriosity, we use advanced techniques to collect ideas and examples from peers who are the most interested or experienced, and we also identify leading peers to be featured on hot topics. Interactions are professionally facilitated to ensure a balanced exchange of ideas, so you hear "what happened and why" directly from the peers who were involved - not collected, filtered and sanitized by MBA's fresh out of school without any relevant work experience.

Is there a limit to how much I can use the service?

There are no usage limits for Peeriosity members. That includes Peercasts, use of the member website, polling, benchmarking, accessing shared research, and direct interaction with your peers.

What are the eligibility requirements for Membership?

Members participate in Peeriosity programs to improve their skills and help their companies. Participating to sell services or products is strictly prohibited.

Individuals employed by the following types of firms are NOT eligible for membership:

  • Consulting*
  • Outsource Service Providers
  • Conference Providers or Industry Associations
  • Self-Employed or Retired

* Accenture consultants may register with access restricted to the Accenture Research area.

Employees of Technology and Software companies will be evaluated for appropriateness upon registration.

Why can't vendors, consultants, search firms, or people who are unemployed or retired participate?

To protect the objectivity of interactions and research results. Interactions are healthiest when all members are looking for answers that work, not only answers that support their company's ability to sell products or services, or their ability to find employment.

How old is the research?

Research needs to be current to be relevant. All polls and related comments are date-stamped so you know when answers were provided. Most poll responses take place within 24 hours!

What if I need to change my contact details?

Your contact information is kept in the Profile section and can be easily updated at anytime.

How do I limit the number of e-mail notifications I receive?

You have complete control over what type of notifications you receive from us. Simply go to My Account and then select Notifications to update your settings.

What happens to my membership if I leave my current company?

To limit misuse, a company name and a company email address are required. Your new employer may already be a member, so be sure to contact us and we can let you know. If your new company is not yet a member, we would be happy to arrange a Peercast demonstration at any time.
