Frequently Asked Questions

Confidentiality

What do you do with my contact information?

All member contact information is confidential and is partially visible to peers in your peer group with additional visibility provide to your connections. We will never sell or share your contact details.

What if I don't want to share my contact information with others in my peer group?

Peers in your peer group have visibility to basic profile information, including first name, last initial, company name, and job title. Your first name and last initial will also be listed when peers search for other peers in your peer group who have a high level of experience or interest in individual topics in a research area. It is always the option of any member to not form connections with other peers, which will limit the amount of contact information provided to only the basic profile level as just described.

What if I don't want to post my picture to the member's area of the website?

A key design of Peeriosity is putting a face to the research and so we highly encourage our members to post a picture of themselves as soon as possible. While a picture is not required to participate, it helps other members to better relate with you as you interact virtually together.

Can I share my membership with others on my team?

Yes, but they should have their own login information. Membership is at a company level, with no cost to have others in your company have their own login and access. Since each membership experience is custom to the user based on how members complete their profile, the use of a common login should be avoided.

Can I invite my colleagues to attend a Peeriosity Peercast?

Yes. Because membership is at company level, you are free to invite fellow employees to attend our Peercasts, even if they have not yet formally registered themselves on the member website.

Can I reference Peercast discussions, poll results or shared documents with non-members?

Yes. While membership access is restricted to members only, it is likely that members will want to cite membership information to support their point of view. This is generally permitted as long individual member names and company identities are not disclosed. Do not share actual documents or provide access to recorded Peercasts.

You may share a confidential summary of poll results using the "Email Poll" icon (the envelope) that is listed next to each poll. This utility allows you easily create a summary of interesting poll findings for colleagues who are not members. Please remember that even poll summaries are protected information that requires a limited distribution.
