On May 15, 2014, Ascension Health MSC hosted a Peeriosity Senior Executive Forum at their state-of-the-art shared services center in Indianapolis, Indiana with attendance restricted to the senior-most leaders of Shared Services at Peeriosity member companies.
Ascension Health MSC selected the theme, with specific topics featuring attending member company representatives. Similar to all Peeriosity interactions, vendors and consultants were prohibited for attending or having access to attendee details or discussion content.
Below is a summary of discussion themes and topics:
Many attendees had participated in previous Senior Executive Forums, with almost everyone joining us for a hosted reception at the hotel the night before. Because all attendees are part of an ongoing collaborative best practice research community, Forums aren’t one-off events; they are one part of a series of opportunities to network and share with peers where relationships can develop organically over weeks, months, and in many cases, years of ongoing interactions. Rather than a traditional conference session, the atmosphere was more like a reunion of colleagues and friends, with time for laughter and relaxed free-flowing exchanges between attendees.
The conversation continues in the Senior Executive research area within the Peeriosity member website which features a section for the documents associated with in-person forums, as well as iPolling, Peercasts, benchmark results, and shared documents. Senior Executives also have access to the six other separate research areas, including Accounts Payable (P2), Accounts Receivable (O2C), Corporate Card (includes Purchasing Card and Travel Expense), General Accounting (R2R), Payroll, and Shared Services Leadership.
Who are your peers and how are you collaborating with them?
